Frank Giamalva, also known as “Pop”began playing with bands right out of high school. He has played with about
eight different groups throughout his career. He started out with a country
group called The Western Wranglers.Following this, he played with a group known as
Boogie Express. They were a well known local band that was together for about 12 years.
They produced their own hit single, Pot of Gold which gained lots of
radio airtime. Throughout their time they opened for several well known artists such as Fats Domino and Jerry Lee
Lewis.They continued their successuntil retirement years later. From here, Pop joined another well known set of
musicians called the Rhythm Kings.He played with them for about eight years until finally joining the group known as
The End of the Road. This group will eventually become known as “Destiny”, which produced a album called
“First Time”
Pop’s family includes his wife Angie, which he has been married to for
39 years. He has three children: Pete-38, Frank Jr.-36, and Margaret-31. He
is also a proud grandpa of seven grandchildren.
